The Selectmen’s office will be closed at noon on Wednesday, November 26. There will not a a selectmen’s meeting that day. The office will be closed on November 27 and 28 for Thanksgiving. Tin Mountain: The conservation center is hosting a yoga program for children 7 to 10 years old. Those participating should bring a yoga mat and pillow. At the October 15 selectmen’s meeting it was learned that Conway Fire Chief is open to offering Albany a two year contract. Also at the meeting, Rob Nadler suggested that Chief Solomon might be interested in becoming Albany’s Emergency Management Director. At the selectmen’s meeting the selling of tax deeded properties was discussed. The selectmen are considering having real estate brokers handle the sales, or offering the properties to abutters, or putting an ad in the paper offering the properties to the public. The Selectmen and Clerk’s Offices will be closed on Monday for Columbus Day. The Selectmen’s office will be closed on Thursday and Friday October 16 and 17 as Kathy will be at a conference.
