It was decided to have the selectmen meet with Chief Solomon, Andy Davis, Andrea Walsh, Sean Bergeron, and the town attorney to better understand the complex issues. Cathy Ryan will be attending the upcoming Regional Collaboration Conference at Tech Village representing the selectmen. Kelly reported that the Planning Board is working very hard. Their secretary, Theresa Gallagher commended the board as the best she’s ever worked with. Jack Rose reported that there’s a change of venue for the Albany Historical Society’s meeting on May 19. The meeting will be held at 11 am in the Albany Museum rather than Banner’s.

Tin Mountain: On May 16 at 1pm Dr. Michael Cline will present changes in the natural history over the past 250+ Years of Natural History in the White Mountain Region. Call 447-6001 for further information.

Gibson Center: On Friday, May 22 the Center will hold its annual Memorial Day Indoor picnic. Chef Rick will prepare a delicious meal and there will be singing of patriotic songs. On Saturday and Sunday, May 23 and 24 join others for the Gibson Center Crafts and Artisan Festival on the front lawn.

Library: Monday at 6:30 pm join others for Author Talk/Read: Tributary by Kevin McLellan. At 10:30am on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday it’s Story Time . On Thursday at 2pm get your answers about the Affordable Care Act. On Friday at 10:30 am join Food Friends.

UNH Extension: Join the 4-H Duct Tape Craft Program for fun with Duct Tape. The program is free and the Duct Tape is provided. Dates are May 27, June 3,10, and 17 from 4-5:30pm at Wakefield Rec Center, 132 Meadow Street, Wakefield. Open to those eight and older. For more information call 447-3834. Starting Home, a transitional housing program for homeless veterans, is holding a fundraiser May 23 and 24 at 2734 East Main Street, Center Conway (near the Maine border). Donations are needed and pickup is available. Call 356-9969.

State Representative Susan Ticehurst will lead a public discussion on “How To Get What You Want From Government” at Cook Library, 93 Main Street, Tamworth on Thursday, May 21 at 7pm. All are welcome. Refreshments will be served.
