The selectmen’s meeting on Wednesday was short but informative. Kathy Vizard reported that the new lighting work was mostly complete at Town Hall. One fixture in the office proved defective and one outside light still needs to be changed. All lighting work should be completed very shortly. Jack Rose reported on the Planning Board. Apparently, when first formed it was supposed to have seven members, but over the years that number dropped to five members and two alternates. There is discussion on making the two alternates regular members thus bringing the number to seven and finding two others to be alternates. Jack also reported on the marketing of the Albany caps and tee-shirts. You can check them out on Facebook. Though the sales are not as much as hoped for (the initial outlay of funds from the Historical Society to cover the cost of making these items has not been recouped as yet) they have been selling. Sandie Vizard will be selling them at her salon, Creative Touch and DII Deli will as well. There were suggestions about other places to sell the caps and shirts: Pine Knoll Campground, Ragged Mountain, and Our Favorite Things. Stop by at one of the shops selling these collectibles and get yours. At a recent Sandwich Town selectmen’s meeting, Albany was thanked for helping keep the roads in Wonalancet clear and usable throughout the seasons.
