Correction: The 2014 Albany Master Plan public meeting has been rescheduled to September 22, 2014 from 7 to 9pm at Town Hall. This is the time to review and offer public comments. Copies of the Master Plan can be obtained at Town Hall during business hours. The meeting may be recessed for further deliberations. Due to the confusion several people turned up at the Planning Board Meeting on Monday. It turned out to be quite raucous. Some ideas about zoning areas came up. These will undoubtedly be rediscussed on September 22. The issue of cluster housing also provoked much comment and should come up again at the Master Plan meeting. Questions arose regarding minutes. It was noted that once the minutes of a meeting have been accepted, the notes and recording of the meeting can be deleted according to the Right To Know law. Rob Nadler reported from the Conservation Committee on land use of the Albany Forest. There is discussion regarding water for the farmland and how to access it. There are still four alternate seats available on the Planning Board. If you are interested in serving, please contact Kathy Vizzard.

Tuesday was Primary Day. Unfortunately, Albany’s turnout was as poor as it was in other towns. Only 94 people (plus 3 absentee ballots) voted.
