It will be a bit early this year, but the annual Albany Turkey Dinner is scheduled for Saturday, October 17 so put it on your calendar. All proceeds from this event go to the Laura Johnson Pierce Scholarship Fund. This is and has always been a well attended event. The food is great and the evening gets people from Albany and towns around us to enjoy the company of neighbors. See you there.

Last Saturday was the annual Bark in the Park. As always it was well attended. Auntie Cindy and crew from Albany Pet Care was there to greet her four legged friends as was Rob Nadler with attire from Ragged Mountain. It was great fun for the dogs and their human families. So proud. Sir Lancelot won two ribbons! There was one dog that stood out as I had never seen such an animal. He’s a Leonburger owned by Franz Huard and Michelle Dolan, part-time residents of Madison. Go on line and you can see for yourself what an unusual dog this is.

Good news from Mary Leavitt. She is on the mend walking and feeling stronger. Keep it up Mary!

Camille Rose’s brother, Ron, is in ICU at Maine Medical suffering from bronchial pneumonia. Our wishes for his recovery.

The peepers are here and finally the tree colors are showing their beauty. It looks like it’s going to be a beautiful fall, so get out and enjoy the look. Have a great week!
