The Town Clerk/Tax Collector’s office and the Selectmen’s office will be closed on Wednesday, April 16.  Both Kathy and DeAnn will be attending a Tax Collector’s workshop. The Selectmen’s office will be closed on Thursday, April 17, Friday, April 18 and Monday, April 21.  On April 17 June Johnson will attend a Supervisor of the Checklist workshop in Concord.

At last Wednesday’s Selectmen’s meeting the following was announced. There will be changes on the Cemetery Trustee Board.  Jamie Sabina has resigned and Cathy Ryan will fill the vacant position once Kim Guptill and Kelly Robitaille meet to officially appoint her.  An Albany representative will attend a Madison Right to Know class being given by the NH Municipal Association.  Additionally, the Local Officials Workshop schedule has been announced and Jack Rose and Rob Nadler will be attending the May 1 session in Littleton.  Kelly Robitaille will try to attend as well.  The selectmen are looking into the drainage problems at the town hall parking lot.  They have also drafted a letter to Fire Chief Solomon asking for permission to hold a controlled burn on the town forest fields.  The selectmen have approved permission for Reach the Beach Relay to use Albany roads; Route 16 to Drake Hill Road and back.  Paul Brown will fill the appointment to the Conservation Commission and Dick VanDyne has been appointed as an alternate.

Tin Mountain: Join the staff of the Conservation Center at Sherman Farm from 9am to noon on April 13 as they explore the old Saco River course and search for wood ducks.  Bring your binoculars and enjoy free doughnuts as a treat.

Gibson Center: Easter lunches will be served on Monday and Tuesday.  First come first served.  Please wear your Easter Bonnet.  On Thursday, April 17 the Gibson bus will leave at 10am for the T&C lunch and Spring Floor Show.  There will be entertainment by Marlena Philips singing ballads, classics, pop, country swing and oldies.  Call 356-3231 to reserve your seat.

Library: The Board of Trustees will meet Monday, April 14 at 4pm.  At 6pm there will be a Poetry Awards ceremony.  Tuesday at 10:30am it’s Spring Story Time for Twos and at 6:30pm join the Discussion of Catamount with Rick Davidson.  April 16 at 10:30am it’s Spring Story Time for Babies.  April 17 at 10:30am it’s Spring Story Time for Threes and Fours.  At 5pm it’s Kindergarten Transition Night for Families.  On Friday at 10:30am learn about Outreach to Childcare Sites.  Saturday begins the Friends Spring Book Sale.  All proceeds will benefit the library.

Mount Washington Valley Promotions is having a fund raiser at M&D Production on Aril 19 from 1 to 3pm.  This is a Tupperware party.
